Professor  in Political Science department, Jordan University Amman Jordan  since 1997.

Author of 32 books and more than  35 papers about Jordanian and Arab issues .

He was awarded a scholarship to Jordan University by the Royal Palace because of his high score on the government secondary school examination and earned his BA in public administration and political science. After scoring highest among forty government officials and then second out of ten in two competitive examinations, he was awarded a scholarship sponsored by the United States Agency for International Development for graduate study in the U.S. He earned a master’s degree in public administration from the Pennsylvania State University. He earned his doctorate from Cairo University  in international relations in 1982 with the honor degree.

After having scored first among 126 candidates in a competitive examination sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he entered the Jordanian Foreign Service. He served as a consul in the Jordanian Embassy in Cairo and then as an assistant in the Protocol Department in Amman.

He became an assistant professor in political science in the Yarmuk University in Jordan in 1983  and promoted to  associate professor in 1989 and promoted to full professor in political science  in 1996 .He has also lectured at the Police Academy and the War College. He was a visiting professor in Nagoya University, in Nagoya –Japan and Middle East Centre St Anthony College Oxford –England.    He has delivered scholarly papers at many international conferences.

He wrote  a full page column every week inal-Rai newspaper  and Al Aswaq newspaper .He writes a half page in Al Ghad news paper paper and  under the title  ( Comments on Documents) )about Jordanian  issues.

He is the founder of the Jordanian Union of Writers and the Jordan-Pakistan Friendship Association. He is also a member of the Arab Political Science Association and the Arab Historians Union.
He was awarded a Medal of the Independence by King Abdullah II, of Jordan. He is  interested in Human Rights ,Jordan (history Foreign Policy and the British officers in Jordan like John Bagot  Glubb) , Middle East History  ,Protocol, Foreign Policy of the Arab states, The Arab Regional System issues, Terrorism, Disarmament, Iraqi and Lebanese issues  .
